Build your fiddle repertoire with easy tunes! Who doesn't love a simple tune you can just play to your heart's content and just flow?  For me those are Newfoundland singles and Irish polkas, I love stringing them together and see how long I can go! These tunes get your feet tapping and your fingers dancing.

In this 8-week course we will select a couple of easy tunes a week (based on class ability) so you can build confidence with pieces you can master quickly. We will choose from Newfoundland, Canadian, and North Atlantic tunes and cover a variety of jigs, reels, polkas, and waltzes. I will also interweave information about the history and connection of Newfoundland tunes around the North Atlantic fiddle circle. Finally, as a life-long violin and fiddle teacher I can give skill pointers where needed.

Note: This class is best for beginners to intermediate players who can already play a few tunes and feel they can learn at least one tune a week. If you are already a solid intermediate or advanced player you will likely know these tunes, please be in touch about other options to learn. If you have never picked up a fiddle, also contact me to discuss how I can support you. If the time does not suit you, please be in touch to let me know for future scheduling.
