The program for the Vinland Music Camp includes daily workshops which, unless otherwise noted, continue at the same time each day, Monday to Friday. These consist of instrumental and vocal techniques, as well as songwriting, dance and storytelling workshops. Special guests will also be giving workshops throughout the week. Every evening there are jam sessions and concerts, followed by dancing and camp fires. Wednesday afternoon there’s a field trip to Woody Point, with a charter bus dropping everyone off for a jam session at the Discovery Centre. On Wednesday evening there’s a drum circle around the campfire. Thursday night there’s ‘Kill the Devil Night’ – a fun evening of skits and music. During recreation time you can go swimming, hiking, and canoeing, as well as practise or write a song. We finish the week with on Friday evening with our final concert featuring all participants. Camp finishes after breakfast on Saturday morning.
