Vinland Music Camp 2017 Program
The program for the Vinland Music Camp includes daily performances and workshops – unless otherwise specified, these continue in the same time time slot from Monday to Friday. The workshops consist of instrumental and vocal techniques, songwriting, and music history. Occasionally special guests give workshops as well. Every evening there are jam sessions and concerts, followed by dancing and camp fires. Wednesday afternoon there’s a field trip to Woody Point, with a charter bus dropping everyone off for a jam session at the Merchant Warehouse restaurant. Thursday night there’s ‘Kill the Devil Night’ – a fun evening of skits and music. On Friday evening there are songwriting and storytelling concerts. We finish the week with a student concert on Saturday morning. During recreation time you can go swimming, hiking, and canoeing – as well as practise! Our home page has a brief history of the Camp along with other information.
